What I ate in Lahore and Islamabad


      Having dinner on the rooftop near the old mosque in Lahore. The wind was so strong we had to tuck our napkins under our plates. And the lights were so dim the menu could not be read without the glow from our iPhones. I remember that chilly air, the way the mosque towers shined in a golden orange light, the way the red lights of the narrow streets below us looked from a distance.

I had not gotten to eat out much in Karachi, which meant that I ate awesome home cooking every day, but I welcome the opportunity to try some restaurants in Lahore and Islamabad.
