In Japan we apparently get served with Strawberry flavoring year-round. After last summer's Strawberry Cheesecake Frappuccino, and winter's Sakura Latte with Strawberry Topping, I was hoping for a more creative summer offering. Nonetheless, Starbucks Japan makes a kick-ass strawberry frappuccino that puts the United States to shame. The secret is in the dollops of real strawberry jam that they heap into the cup before pouring in the blended mixture. Sometimes a wayward strawberry chunk will lodge itself into the straw. This alone gives the drink the ability to call itself the "Strawberry Delight Frappuccino," instead of it's less impressive sibling, the "Strawberry Frappuccino." It's a far cray from a real-fruit smoothie, but is right on par with the other amazing frappuccino offerings of Starbucks Japan.
